A Texas Police Chief Is Embroiled in a Very Messy, Very Public Love Quadrangle

“Crimes” of the heart are never clean cut, and this upcoming relationship scandal is no exception.

Behold, internet – the cheating police chief that is Jason Collier!

Wonder what this Texas police chief did that started a Facebook flamewar and basically forced him to be put on leave? Well, you’re in luck, because the story is preserved due to good ol’ internet screenshots.

Prepare yourself for the messiest love quadrangle in history.

The saga started after Collier’s girlfriend, Cecily Steinmetz, posted what she thought was an innocent photo of her and Collier. Soon, women came forward in droves. As it turned out, Collier had quite a few other girlfriends.

So… Cecily posted this..

“Chief Jason Collier is living a double/triple life. I was his girlfriend until yesterday. He lied to me and presented me with fake annulment documents when I found out he was married.

I also found out about a 2nd girlfriend, Kristi, last night. He has lied to us, our children, and asked us both to marry him.

He is a poor representative of your town. He would also visit me in Amarillo when he was on shift.”

Yes, you read that right.

That’s certainly a level of commitment. Too bad he can’t transfer that energy into his actual relationships.

Soon, another girlfriend, Kristi Shaffer, decided to chime in. Apparently, Collier had been texting Shaffer during the entire weekend he spent with Steinmetz.

Not sure how this dude manages to sleep at night.

As if the lies couldn’t get any worse, the two ladies then discovered that Collier had been covering up some evidence.

That’s a pretty bad look for a police chief, if you ask me. Apparently, he started attributing any mess his Shaffer’s kid made to his own children.

Man, you just could not sink any lower than that – besides the whole, you know, cheating thing.

And then… the city got wind of all of this and issued a statement.

Can you imagine being Durk Downs and having to put that statement out? Good lord.

What happened? On January 28th, Collier was arrested for “tampering with a government record with the intent to defraud or harm.”

Every relationships has its problems – some more extreme than others. If you’re ever feeling down-and-out about your love life, just remember this story and be thankful you never got entangled with this guy.
