It really, really bums me out when people get older, settle into their routines, and have absolutely no interest whatsoever in learning about anything new. Actually, it more than bums me out: it kind of makes me furious.
Learning is supposed to be a lifelong endeavor and don’t listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.
This Twitter thread from a guy named Justin Heckert should inspire you to get out there and learn about some new things.
And yeah, she RIPPED it…
Obviously, Heckert was pretty impressed with his mother-in-law’s new skill set.
And, maybe the best part: no one in the entire family had a clue that she had been learning how to play the fiddle.
How could they not know? Guess she’s good at keeping secrets…
It came out that the mother-in-law is actually pretty new at the fiddle.
Heckert’s tweets got a lot of attention and he was thankful for the praise for his mother-in-law and for the other folks out there who inspired him with their own stories.
Other people shared their own similar stories in what became a positive, wholesome Twitter thread about the power of new opportunities and trying new things.
Love stories like this!
See! Dreams do come true!
Never stop trying!
Let’s say it one more time to drive the point home: you’re never too old to learn something new. So get out there and so something good for yourself!
You only get one life! Use it all up while you can!
