It’s incredible how smart some children are. You can tell from a young age that they’ve got something special going on in their brains and are going to go far in life.
Dorothy Jean Tillman is one of those children. Well, technically, she’s now a teenager, but close enough.
Tillman recently graduated with her master’s degree at age 14. We’re going to just let that sink in for a moment. Master’s degree, age 14. Just wow.

Her parents are, understandably, very proud of her. In fact, her mom Jimalita Tillman said…
“I’m very proud of her and I’m proud of the example that she’s leaving behind.”
Tillman enrolled in high school courses when she was just 8 years old. She then earned an associate’s degree at age 10, then a bachelor’s degree at age 12.

Her master’s degree is in environmental science and sustainable engineering.
Though she isn’t quite sure what her next steps will be, they will definitely involve something in the field of science, technology, engineering and math. Tillman also wants to help people. She’s also currently writing a book.
“I know in the future I want to be an entrepreneur. I want to be my own boss. I kind of want to be able to take everything that I’ve learned, all of my degrees, and group them into one thing.
Because the way I am, I can’t stay on one project. I have to hop around to different things to make sure I stay passionate in everything equally.”
She also hopes to inspire other people to tap into their own inner strength. If you work hard enough, Tillman believes, anything is possible.
Tillman is the inspiration we could all use in our lives right now. We hope she never gives up on her dreams, no matter what.
