If you’re a Millennial, or even a member of late GenX, there’s a good chance you’re starting to feel old more often than not. Your back hurts, technology has changed so much since you were a kid it’s barely recognizable, and you have no idea what your kids are talking about most of the time.

If that’s you, welcome – we’re about to toss you 15 more things to make you feel like the Crypt Keeper.

15. And MarioKart races.

“Playing multiplayer video games with all of the players IN the room together. We had some pretty heated N64 parties.”

14. Now this I wouldn’t mind coming back into vogue.

“Being completely unreachable by anyone for an entire day or more with no one thinking that it was unusual or rude.”

13. Kids today will never know.

“You haven’t truly lived until you have f**ked over your best friend in Mario Kart 64 by taking the Rainbow Road shortcut.”

12. No wonder we all have ADHD.

“I do miss this so much. I feel tethered by my phone and miss being able to absorb into something without distraction.”

11. There were definitely more mysteries.

“‘Hey, what was the guy from that one thing?’ / ‘I don’t know.’ / ‘Me neither.’ / ‘Oh well.'”

10. It was a little adventure every single time.

“Taking your disposable camera to get developed, and having no idea if any of your pictures were even usable until you got the pictures back.”

9. It is objectively helpful.

“My dad had a huge movie reference book next to his armchair to look up actors and cross-reference them. He died in 1998.

I think he would have very much liked Google.”

8. You can almost smell it.

“Coin arcades in malls. And the malls, I guess.”

7. It was nice to see a friendly face.

“When picking someone up from the airport, you could wait for them at their gate.”

6. Alone with your thoughts.

“In general…just waiting for things, alone with only your thoughts. Gameboy ran out of battery? Didn’t bring a book? Time to people watch.”

5. We were more friendly, I think.

“Related… Meeting a friend for lunch at the airport when they happened to have a layover in your city!”

4. The necessary info.

“Parents leaving $20 under a magnet on the fridge for pizza with the number of the restaurant they were eating at,

Also your friend’s parents-down-the-block’s number, and maybe your grandmother’s landline as a last resort.”

3. A place to meet up.

“Giving a meeting point and a meeting time in case we get lost.”

“Or just in general. Like you kind of forget, like you had to have your plans nailed down before you left the house. People would ask, ‘Where you are going, what time are you/we meeting, and when will you be back?'”

2. Moviefone!

“Calling the movie theater or looking in the newspaper for movie times.”

1. Or your brother. To be fair.

“But your annoying sister always talked RIGHT when the movie you wanted to hear listed the times. Then you had to start all over again!!!”

Life really was simpler back then, don’t you think?

Not better, but simpler.

If you could bring one thing from the 90s back into daily life, what would it be? Let us know in the comments!
