She didn’t say specifically why she thought this—the video cuts out before she could answer—but it’s apparent as to the reason. What’s even more remarkable about the question is her resigned tone.
King uploaded the video to TikTok, and it immediately went viral with more than 2.5 million views and over 13,000 comments, with most people shocked, saddened, and angry at the question.

Others defended her, saying that she was frightened of what she saw on TV in the wake of the George Floyd protests or perhaps confused altogether. She was probably in for the shock of her life to learn that King was shopping, much in the same way she was.
