Doorbell cameras catch plenty of video footage of delivery drivers on the daily. But rarely do they capture such an act of kindness as you will see from these snowy steps in Nebraska.

The snow-shoveling savior in the video is a Nebraska FedEx deliveryman named Brian. Besides delivering packages to the residents of his small town, he goes above and beyond to be a helpful citizen to those in need.

One of those people he helped was a woman who recently lost her 42-year-old husband after a seven-month battle. A few months after he passed, the woman was struggling to put air in her tires before help arrived in the form of the friendly FedEx worker.

“I noticed a FedEx truck nearby and asked him for help.

He was more than willing to help me. When he found out my situation, and that we have 3 young children, he offered to help me any way he could.”

That assistance extended far beyond pumping up some tires. Brian’s selflessness shined through during one of the toughest times: winter.

It started with clearing the sidewalks of fallen snow. But what was later captured on the doorbell camera came as a total shock to the appreciative widowed mother of three.

Even with many more packages to deliver, Brian took the time to shovel the thick layer of snow off the spacious front porch. Ironically, this was all captured on a device that is typically intended to catch burglars, trespassers and the crazy ex-girlfriend or boyfriend.

This simple act of kindness is emblematic of how we should all strive to act toward each other. The next time you see someone in need, take the few seconds to lend a helping hand. Treat others with respect. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes before you make a swift judgment.

As the old adage goes, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Way to go Brian! We hope you get a nice little bonus from this.
