While it’s true that all dogs are good boys and good girls (obviously), there’s just something about Irish Wolfhounds that helps them stand out from the pack (pun intended).

These large, aka lorge, bois and girls have curly fur, long snoots and big awkward bodies. Shoutout to all the Irish Wolfhound owners out there who post regular photo updates of these adorable, cuddly creatures for the rest of us out here!

They’re incredibly loyal pets who especially love to hang out with and protect little ones in their pack:

Because they are so gentle, it’s completely acceptable and even encouraged to literally fill your entire house with them, as these people have done:

Ahhh, now this is the life! So comfortable, plz do not wake me:

Of course it stands to reason that they are even cuter when they are puppies!

I mean, just look at this little face:

Imagine working from home and getting anything done with this soulful face staring back at you all day:

It’s easy to see from all of these pictures why people just love these goofy Irish Wolfhounds. Plus, they create daily fodder for cute Instagram photos and videos to share with the rest of the world. It’s nice to have such a constant source of happiness in your life, right?

Do you have a specific favorite dog breed? Are you in the “adopt don’t shop” camp? Can there be a middle ground between the two? Why or why not?

We’d love to hear from you!
