If you’ve spent enough time with cats, or maybe any time at all, you know that they LOVE cardboard boxes.

You can go out and spend hundreds of dollars on cool toys and gadgets and then you know what comes next: they ignore those and they head straight for the packaging to entertain themselves.

Hey, there are just some things we can’t control in life and this is one of them.

So these folks decided to take advantage of their cats’ love for cardboard and they all made them epic forts! Let’s take a look and see what they came up with!

1. Now, this looks familiar…

And it looks great!

2. This whole kingdom is yours.

So enjoy it!

3. That is pretty epic.

All kinds of places to crawl on…and to nap.

4. Chateau de Ralph.

I see you up there!

This is Ralph atop his 5-storey cat fort I built during lockdown. He was naturally suspicious at first, but now he loves it!

5. Wow…this is pretty impressive.

I don’t think anyone can argue with that!

Craig is loving his quarantine cat castle. Especially now that it includes open patios at perfect heights for swatting at human heads.

6. A cardboard pagoda.

You may be a crazy cat lady, but this is pretty cool.

Made a cardboard cat pagoda for Calcifer…it was on day 3 of making this that I realized I am officially a crazy cat lady

7. Take the winding stairs all the way up.

Now you’re getting it!

8. Just poking his head out.

From inside his castle, that is…

9. I hope this cat appreciates what you’ve done for them.

But we all know they probably won’t…

The Cat Castle is finished! A lot of cardboard, hot glue, tape, paint and time went into making this.

10. What are we supposed to do?

They look a little bit confused.

11. They seem to be enjoying it!

A job well done!

We built a cardboard castle for our cats!

12. Do you dare to cross the drawbridge?

Be very careful, my friend…

Now we want to hear from you!

In the comments, please share some photos with us showing what your cats are up to?

Where do they like to sleep? Where do they like to play?

Have you built them anything out of cardboard or boxes?

We can’t wait to hear from you!
