There’s cute, there’s really cute…
And then there’s this:
This mama duck is leading her ducklings out of Thompson Health’s M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. This is an annual ritual for this smart mama.
Apparently, this mama nests in one of the continuing care center’s courtyards each year. She lays her eggs and hatches her babies in safety.
Once the time is right, she taps on the glass to let the staff know she’s ready to go.
The staff holds signs to make sure mama doesn’t get off track, and the even hold the door for the little family.
The facility’s patients even get in on the fun:
The family doesn’t go far, though. They head for a wooded area near the facility.
It’s hard for the staff to say goodbye – because duh.
