Do you know the actor Fred Ward?

Even if the name doesn’t ring a bell, I bet you’ve seen his face.

And he’s been one of my favorite actors for a long time…even before I knew what his name was.

“Dylan Baker.

One time I held the door at a hotel open for him and recognized him as Peter’s professor Dr. Curt Connors from the Raimi Spider-Man movies.

But I looked him up and will never forget his name now.”

3. James Hong.

“James Hong.

He’s been in over 600 movies, TV shows, and video games throughout his career.”

4. Pete Postlethwaite

“Pete Postlethwaite. RIP.

Fun fact – Steven Spielberg said he was the greatest actor he ever worked with.”

5. Rade Šerbedžija

“Underrated answer.

He can be the main antagonist in a Brad Pitt or Val Kilmer movie, and then also be a homeless man with a nice coat in Batman Begins or Gregorovitch in one scene in the 2nd to last Harry Potter movie.

Dude is EVERYWHERE.”

6. John Michael Higgins.

“I’m a fan of his, but I always forget John Michael Higgins’ name, and I think a lot of people do too and/or never knew it.”

7. David Paymer.

“David Paymer. He’s been in practically everything, but most people wouldn’t know his name.

He came into the movie theater I worked at years ago in Massachusetts and we were all scrambling to look up his name after we saw him. As he was leaving, one of my coworkers yelled “hey David Paymer!” at him as he left.

He smiled & waved at us. Seeing famous people was not a frequent occurrence for us in the Boston suburbs, so we were pretty excited.”

8. John Carroll Lynch

He’s been busy I see.”

9. Zeljko Ivanek.

“Zeljko Ivanek.

He’s always the corrupt US government official.

One of the most prolific bit-part actors who always plays the same kind of role.”
