Mary MacInnes has a unique way of helping people to remember their loved ones who have passed away. She uses old clothes of those who have left this Earth to make memory bears that people can hang onto forever to remember their friends and family members.

For some memory bears, MacInnes adds a pocket where people can keep mementos and letters of their loved ones. She studies Fashion Technology at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. MacInnes said,

“I made my first memory bear five years ago as a favor for a friend and was constantly asked to make more, but turned them down because I wanted to concentrate on university and a career in bridal.

I gave in to requests for bears and once I uploaded photos to my page it just exploded – so at the moment I’m fully committed to making them.”

Take a look at her work. These are truly one-of-a-kind.

What a great remember to remember a loved one who’s no longer with us, don’t you think? I mean, who thinks of this stuff? The world is truly a beautiful, loving place.

Would you get one of these made? Who would you commemorate?
