I think that if you travel enough, you eventually see the good, the bad, and the ugly of hotels and Airbnbs around the country and the world.
For example, I booked an Airbnb house in Norman, Oklahoma, when I went to my friend’s wedding a few years ago. The place looked basic and fine from the photos. When we went inside, it was wonderful!
Clean, spacious, bright, in a great location. We truly lucked out.
Another time I booked a hotel room online in New Mexico because I was driving through. It looked great from the pics! When I got there, the place was…kind of a sh*thole.
The point is, you never really know what you’re getting into until you step foot in a hotel or an Airbnb. And these folks all got into some weirdness.
