I’ve come to the conclusion that parents refusing to apologize is a universal thing.

Moms and dads out there just can’t actually form the words “I’m sorry” when they’re talking to their kids…even if they’re wrong. DEAD WRONG.

So they come up with a funny way of saying sorry without actually saying sorry. It’s all very strange, don’t you think?

People on Twitter shared the ways their parents apologize to them and they are pretty hilarious.

1. Oh, that’s a classic.

Have you heard it before?

2. Really? Still?

You’re not over it?

3. Swept under the rug.

Many parents do this.

4. There it is!

I knew someone would say this.

5. You’re ungrateful!

How did that happen?!?!

6. Only emptiness.

That says a lot…

7. Over and over again.

Get it together, Dad!

8. Everything is fine now.

Am I right?

9. The old guilt trip.

Another classic!

10. That escalated.

Not a good ending.

11. No hope.

Mixed messages here.

12. Blame it on the kid.

Not cool.

13. Not very helpful.

But nice try, Mom.

Did your parents ever “apologize” this way?

If so, please tell us about it in the comments.

Thanks in advance!
