Costco is a fabulous place to buy all the things you need in big, bulk sizes, saving you tons of money and time.
Besides bargain prices on huge packages of toilet paper, cases of organic apples and 20-packs of batteries, they also sell juicy, perfectly seasoned rotisserie chicken.
And, no, you don’t have to buy a dozen of them.
Along with your typical warehouse stuff, you can simply pick up one of these delicious chickens, take it home and shred some on top of a bowl of salad greens.
Voila, dinner is prepared!
These chickens are so popular, even Dr. Oz poked around and got the secret to how Costco manages it.
The chickens are roasted same as any other grocery store. However, there is something special that sets Costco’s chickens apart.
It’s in the marinade which is made up of a blend of sodium, sugar, spice extractives, and cornstarch with MSG. Sugar flavoring is used on the skin.
According to Dr. Oz, the ingredients combined with the chicken makes it, “one of the healthiest processed foods out there.”
Something else that makes their chickens a basket do is the price. The birds have been $4.99 for years. And they are even a bit bigger than grocery store versions.
The reason Costco is willing to sell them so cheap is because of what people will buy in addition to the chickens. Pasta, salad greens, dressing, tortillas, croissants…it’s all right there in extra-large sizes.
And, best of all, Costco rotisserie chickens are gluten-free.
That’s definitely worth a monthly visit to your friendly, local Costco.
