Women are often confronted with uncomfortable situations. We’re often hit on when we’re just trying to get gas or buy a cup of coffee. People may talk to us while we have earbuds in, which is the universal sign for “Please don’t talk to me.”
Sometimes we ignore these people. Sometimes we give them a piece of our mind. And every once in a while, someone really gracious turns these situations into teachable moments.
Twitter user @LovableAndKind shared one such moment. Her sister received an unsolicited text from an employee of Jiffy Lube:

Here’s how things started:

This is creepy on several levels. An obvious move would be to just block and ignore him. Instead, she takes him to school:

He contacted her even though he knew she was married and that she was unlikely to respond positively to his advances.
Even worse, he went into her customer file, which has her address. She goes on:

She is much more understanding than I would be. She’s absolutely right about women often being the victims of sexual violence. She has to give up going to a business she’s familiar with in order to avoid this guy.
