I have a friend who dismisses The Simpsons and refuses to watch it because he says “It’s a cartoon…”.

But he watches a ton of reality TV bullshit, so who knows what’s going on in his head…

I’ve tried to explain to him over and over again that The Simpsons is funny (of course), but that it’s also very clever and the show sometimes says a lot about current events and even politics in a very subtle way.
