I don’t know about you, but I grew up in a Grease household. It’s was constantly on the TV and my brothers and sisters and I watched it endlessly (even if the more “adult” jokes flew over our heads). And that’s why this story was so cool to me and the millions of other Grease fans out there.
John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, who played the roles of Danny and Sandy in the 1978 movie, recently reunited IN COSTUME for a special Meet n’ Grease Singalong at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida.

In case it’s been a while or you’ve never seen this classic, let me briefly fill you in on the plot: in the late 1950s, Rydell High School is home to a greaser gang called the T-Birds and Danny, one of the members, falls in love with an Australian transfer student named Sandy.
I won’t give anything else away, but let’s just say the songs are great, the story is great, the whole thing is great.

Later on that night, Olivia Newton-John changed out of her “good girl” Sandy outfit and transformed into her bad girl Sandra Dee persona just like she did in the film’s finale. Travolta and Newton-John did a Q&A session before the movie, and the singalong, got started.
The dynamic duo also hit Tampa and Jacksonville, Florida, for screenings and singalongs. Wouldn’t it be great if they did a little tour and hit other parts of the country with this event?
