Did you have a favorite blanket as a baby that you continued sleeping with as a child? Maybe into young adulthood?
Well, if so, you’re not alone. And people are ready to spill their baby blanket secrets to the world, thanks to TikTok.
People are sharing their baby blankets or, rather, what’s left of them on TikTok as part of a viral new trend.
It all started with one brave young adult who was willing to share his blanket with the world. He’s 24 and still sleeps with his blanket — and he’s not afraid to shout it from the figurative rooftops:
@coreyxnathaniel BABY BLANKET CHECKKKKK #fyp #4u #babyblanket #xposedmyself
And then it just kept going…
@gabbinaturman i think i win the baby blanket challenge, wbu??? #fyp #babyblankets #blanketchallenge This took 21 years of devotion, taking my blanket everywhere
This gal is 21 and still sleeps with hers:
@alexacorbisiero i’m just glad it’s not just me, also used to be 3 small blankets and now it’s just this
This girl’s blanket actually looks pretty good:
@leviathan_senpai_ this is the 2nd replacement and it broke because it got washed, now it will never be washed, EVER… ? #fyp #foryou #foryoupage
This gal says she’s not planning on getting rid of it anytime soon, even though it’s just a ball of string at this point:
@margauxruh And no, I don’t plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. #babyblanketcheck
Here’s a fancy silky one:
@cassidyguess7 My silky? Did you have a baby blanket???
Now this is the kind of TikTok trend we can get behind. People are opening up and actually showing their vulnerabilities, which is really cool — this whole movement has to be making some people feel way less alone in their baby blanket sleeping habits, right? And we bet there are others who still sleep with a favorite stuffed animal, too. It’s not just limited to blankies!
Did you have a baby blanket or a favorite stuffed animal? Do you remember when you finally parted ways with it, or do you still sleep with yours? How old is too old for someone to continue sleeping with a baby blanket?
