Every morning when I wake up, I look in the mirror and I say, “you are the most handsome, talented man who ever lived…”
And then I go about my day…
Okay, that’s DEFINITELY a lie, but my point is that all of us tell ourselves lies here and there.
And AskReddit users were nice enough to share theirs.
Take a look!
1. Needing someone…
“That I’m perfectly fine on my own.
But in reality I know that no one gets far on their own.”
2. A lot.
“There’s a lot of them:
I’ll finish the book I’ve started writing.
My taste in romance will improve.
I’m alright.
I’m not a psychopath.”
3. Keep trying.
“That my life will magically get better if I just keep my chin up and stay positive.”
4. Hmmm…
“I don’t need to write it down.
I won’t forget…”
5. A classic.
“”I’ll do it tomorrow.”
I have delayed stuff for months and some of them are things that would take me like 30 minutes to do.”
6. Get it done early.
“That I’ll file my taxes early this year.
Ends up like all last minute.”
7. Sober up.
“That I don’t have a drinking problem.
Usually after finishing a bottle…”
8. Start today.
“Tomorrow I will start to figure things out and get my s**t together and finally stop wasting my life.”
9. Bedtime.
“”I might go to sleep soon.”
I never really go to sleep at the correct time.”
10. Don’t let it get to you.
“That I’ll not let it get to me next time. But when next time comes around…
Although I think I have made some progress over the years. Thinks get under my skin a tad bit less often now.”
11. Up to you…
“That I’m not getting older, just better.
What a load of c**p that is.”
12. Do your best.
“You are alright.
Just because you can’t focus and are overly emotional, doesn’t mean your mental health is unstable.”
13. Dump the chump.
“He’s going to change this time.
Nope.
Still a dr**k cheater.”
Now we want to hear from you.
