I’m not a scientist, but I think that it’s pretty certain that the desire to embarrass our family members is encoded in our DNA
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
So, in the spirit of embarrassing our loved ones, enjoy these stories that people shared about their family members being tota weirdos.
Start now!
1. We’re all working on that.
Let me know if you figure it out.
My grandma’s New Years resolution one year was that she “wanted to be able to hate without feeling guilty” #myfamilyisweird

2. Being thrifty.
Good one, Dad.
My Dad will go to Burger King and order a Whopper without cheese. And then he will go home, put a slice of American cheese on it and melt it in the microwave just to save a few cents #MyFamilyisWeird

3. The minds of children.
They are clever…sometimes…
My little sister when she was 7yrs old once came out the bathroom, so proud of herself and said
“guys! I just made up the best joke on the toilet! Q:Where does a happy foreman work?..A:In a satisfactory”
Oh how the mind of children work ? #MyFamilyIsWeird— FI-Ahh♡민꾹♡ (@BorahaeBeach_) November 19, 2021
4. That’s amazing!
The intimidation game.
When my boyfriend came over for the first time, my stepdad came into the room, stared at him for atleast five minutes and left without a word. He never came over again. #MyFamilyIsWeird

5. Larry’s here again.
The life of the party!
Made a life size “burnt” skeleton for Halloween and named him Larry. He is now a permanent fixture in the dining room. Dresses for all occasions and is a great conversationalist. #myfamilyisweird

6. Uh oh…
That’s when you know it’s bad.
Once, my family and I were on vacation in a cottage. My brother and I were arguing a lot, and at the last day of vacation, my father was so angry with us, he kicked his sandal on the roof, and he had to drive us back home on a 5 hour trip with only one sandal #MyFamilyIsWeird

7. She sounds evil.
And pretty funny!
Everytime my aunt came to visit us, she told my brother he was hers but she didn’t want him and gave him to my parents. She never mentioned me. WE ARE TWINS. #MyFamilyIsWeird

8. Weird kid you got there.
Keep an eye on him.
#MyFamilyIsWeird my 3-year-old nephew is adorable, but sometimes he’ll be playing and then suddenly grab your face and whisper stuff like, “I own you.”

9. Hostage negotiations.
This one got pretty ugly.
When I was a kid, my older brother (married & out of the house) decided to “kidnap” my cabbage patch doll, Rupert & leave a ransom note. When I got home & saw the note I cried until my dad called & woke my brother up & made him bring Rupert back. It was 1130pm. #myfamilyisweird

10. I know all about this.
It drives me nuts!
#MyFamilyIsWeird because they always have refrigerator-blindness-syndrome. aka when you can’t find the thing that you’re looking for that’s in plain sight in the fridge then you get someone to find it immediately.
