I never watched a lot of standup comedy until I got together with my husband.

He has a great knack for finding the good stuff.

In fact, he’s the one who first showed me the videos of Scott Seiss who went viral earlier this year for his TikTok comedy bits.

Seiss has been on TikTok for about a year, and he built up a good following.

But his account really took off back in February when he started to make videos about working in customer service.

The first one has garnered more than 9 million views!

Mainly he focuses on the annoying interactions that retail workers are forced to have with shoppers in their stores.

Things took off even more a couple of months later when he compiled the short vignettes into longer videos and posted them on Twitter.

It was a genius move, expanding his audience, and finding retweets from celebrities like LeBron James and Patton Oswalt who enjoyed his brand of humor.

As he told Daily Dot, he lost his mind when those retweets came.

I guess they made up for the 3 years he spent in the Baltimore IKEA gathering source material.

And Seiss isn’t finished yet.

His latest video has been viewed over a million times in just two days:

On TikTok alone, the videos tend to average about 3 million views, and that’s before he edits them together for Twitter!

Seiss has done so well that his standup booking sold out and they had to add a second show this month. Here’s how he advertised it:

It’s great to see a person going viral and being able to channel it into career success in their chosen field.

I can’t wait to see what he does next.

What do you think of his videos? Do they hit home for you like they do for so many retail workers? Tell us in the comments!
