I grew up in a family with five kids and I thought that was kind of chaotic…

But a young woman who shared her story on Reddit’s “Am I The A**hole” page lives in a household that seems to be having a negative impact on her life.

Read on to see what she had to say and how folks on Reddit responded to her story.

AITA for putting all of my hair/makeup/skincare products in lock boxes?

“I’ve (F17) been babysitting these kids (5f 6f and 8m) every day for almost a year.

I’m not sure what their mom does but she works with a lot of high end hair/makeup/skincare companies and gets a lot of free stuff. She sometimes comes home with bags of products and tells me to take whatever I want. Needless to say, I have a decently sized collection of high end products that I used to have on display on my vanity.

My sisters (5, 6, 11, 13, 14, 18) have a habit of breaking into my stuff, especially my makeup, but also things like my shampoo and conditioner (my boss gets me nice ones at a discount), perfumes, lotions, etc. because I use nicer things than them.

I told them to stop taking my stuff but they wouldn’t because “sisters share” so one of my brothers (24) came over and helped me put shelves in my closet and I bought lock boxes for all of my stuff. My sisters are mad at me because they can’t use my stuff anymore and my mom and stepdad want me to let them use my stuff to keep the peace.

My brother is on my side and he’s offering to let me move in with him and his gf and their son (6 mo) and I’m considering it but I wanted to know if I was the a**hole.”

Now let’s see how Reddit users reacted.

This person said that there’s no way this young woman should be required to share her things with SIX SISTERS.

Another reader argued that there’s nothing wrong with having boundaries and sticking to them.

Even when it comes to family…
